epilogue

the man without a face

the man without a face

There is a man
I know him well.
I hear his voice
The tales he'll tell.

Life surreal,
Stories rendered.
Hearts are open.
Feelings tendered.

Sharing sorrow.
Life proceeding.
Smiles and laughter.
Hope, and needing.

He calls to me
A faceless chord.
A short journey
From keen to bored.

There is a man
I thought I knew.
I'd hear his voice,
His lies, half true.

A secret word.
Another call.
Maybe I don't know him at all.
