save me

save me

Open, garden—let me in,
Let me sow my fears.
Plant your beds with shrubs of sin,
Fill your ponds with tears.

Weeds will flourish, flowers die,
Petals turn to dust,
Proud stalks mourn, they droop and cry
With the weight of lust.

Let me lie here, find my soul,
Free me from my skin.
Winds of nature, take your toll,
Draw what rests within.

Shelter me from what I've lost,
Bloom to ease my pain.
Chill my conscience with your frost,
Cleanse me with your rain.

Raise my heart above the trees,
Lift me to the skies.
Take my body, hear my pleas,
Save me—close my eyes.
